Dr. Susan Wcislak, MD FACS | Endocrine Surgeon, Scottsdale, AZ
I am a board-certified General Surgeon with Advanced Fellowship Training in Endocrine Surgery. I started my medical training in Chicago, where I’m originally from, continued with my surgical residency at University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, and finished my fellowship at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
My experiences at UTHSC and Cleveland Clinic have provided a thorough base and extensive knowledge of the parathyroid, thyroid, and adrenal glands. From hyperparathyroidism to thyroid cancers to benign thyroid issues to adrenal masses, I have a strong understanding of the underlying diseases. My large operative volume of parathyroid, thyroid, and adrenal cases has exposed me to anatomies of all variants that have prepared me for straight forward to complicated re-operative cases. And in order to continue with my education and to stay as current with research and guidelines, I am involved with multiple endocrine associations to provide the best and most up-to-date care possible for my patients.
No matter what you are going through, I want to make sure that you have a solid understanding as well. I am willing to spend as much time with you as needed in order to develop a relationship to make you feel as comfortable as possible and give you the care you need for your specific case. I am so excited to be part of this community. In my free time, you will find me cheering for all teams Chicago, discovering the hiking available in this area (especially with my dog), traveling to the mountains to ski, or learning to golf and play the piano.
